Place MiC
directly
in
front
of
the
singer
about
6
to
24 inches away
with
the
front
of
MiC
pointed
towards
the
singer. The closer
the
singer
is
to
MiC,
the
more
low
end
or
bass
it
will
pick
up. MiC has a
polar
pattern
that
is
cardioid,
which
means
that
it
will
be
most
effective recording sounds
that
are
directly
in
front
of
MiC
and
increasingly less
on
the
sides.
Be
sure
to
check
your
levels
on
the
Status
Indicator
Light. The best
way
to
do
this
is
to
sing
the
loudest
passage
you
will
be
recording
and
adjust
the
gain
so
the
Status
Indicator
Light
is
Green
and
not
Red.lf
the
light
becomes red
when
recording,
the
input
is
too
hot
and
the
recording
will
be
distorted.
We
highly
recommend
using a
pop
filter
when
recording vocals
with
MiC.
This
will
shield
the
microphone
capsule
from
sudden bursts
of
air,
minimizing
popping
and
distortion.
